Joakim has been working in cybersecurity for more than fifteen years with an interest in cybercrime and user-perspectives on cybersecurity. During his PhD he researched the effect of providing security tips during users routine activity (such as phishing tips when reading email). Even if that seemed efficient the main outcome of the research was the need for an increased focus on usable security routines, not least from a cognitive perspective. His current research focus is on how cognitive abilities impact users abilities to act securely, and how to develop cognitively avaliable security practises.
